Our proposal is to give Porsgrunn a new beautifully crafted circular church that will unite the community and offer a symbol of solidity and unity on Church Hill. The concept is a campus on the existing site that creates a central courtyard around the new church that connects to the existing church hall with the new church square which mediates between these two main buildings. To achieve the requirements of the brief and the constraints of the site it seems to make better sense to connect the existing church. We have combined the programmes of both the existing church hall with the new functionality and programme of the new church.
