Victoria Beckham Pop-up Store
Roz Barr Architects was asked to prepare a proposal for the fashion label ‘Victoria Beckham’ for the design of a prototype for a clothes and display rails. We have created a modular system of components. The clothes rail and display rail are configured from the same components but differ in their arrangement to fulfil the brief.
The display rail is a space frame divided by 4 no. horizontal equidistant rails. The proposed shelves of varying modular sizes, allow for different configurations of display to be updated and varied season to season. These shelves can be made in a variety of materials. They combine to form the perfect square.
Mirrored stainless steel was the material chosen for the design for the pop-up store in London department store, Harrods.
The pop-up space was arranged around a 4.5m (x) 4.5m custom made rug. A series of square shelving units were recessed into perimeter walls to display the collection of accessories. The square rug was divided into a triangulated pattern of different textures of cut pile or looped wool.
